Supported product versions

Below you find the list of versions that are supported for each product. New versions get added every release, old ones are deprecated or removed. Read the Release notes for the Stackable Data Platform for each platform version to see which product versions are available.

Apache Airflow

Apache Druid

Stackable’s support for Apache Druid is deprecated and is planned for removal from the SDP in SDP 27.11. The last SDP release to include Apache Druid is planned to be 27.7. Apache Druid itself is not affected; only its inclusion in the SDP is being discontinued.

Hive 4 issues

Hive 4 has known compatibility issues, especially when using it with Iceberg or Trino. The missing compatibility with Iceberg also means that Spark jobs using this storage may fail.

Be aware of upgrading Hive (e.g. 4.0.0 to 4.0.1 or 4.0.1 to Hive 4.1.0), as this upgrade is not easily reversible. Test the new version before upgrading your production workloads and take backups of your database before starting an upgrade.

Workaround: If you encounter issues with Hive 4.x, use Hive 3.1.3 instead until these upstream issues are resolved.

Starting with Apache Kafka >=4.x, the quorum manager has been changed from Apache Zookeeper to the built in KRaft.

Apache NiFi
